You can navigate to the Indicator Manager to add the indicator(s), remove the indicator(s), or customize the settings for each indicator, including the indicator’s values, data sources, position on the chart, colors, patterns, line thickness, and other settings. Navigate to the Indicator Manager
Step 1: Click on the vertical ellipsis (⋮) adjoining the Indicators button.
Step 2: A modal window for managing the indicators will appear for you to start adding, removing, and customizing the indicator(s).

Add the Indicator
TrendSpider offers more than 200 indicators to choose from. You can navigate to the Indicator Manager and search across these indicators by scrolling down through the list or entering the name of the specific indicator in the search field.
After selecting the indicator, you can customize the preferences (discussed in the next section) and click on the APPLY button to add the indicator to the chart.
In the example below, you can observe the Simple Moving Average indicator is graphed in the dark blue color.
Please note that you will find many indicators in the list with the keyword-’docs’ assigned next to them. The docs is hyperlinked to the relevant help article explaining the meaning of the particular indicator and how it works.
Some indicators also have special symbols/labels assigned next to them. For example, a lab flask symbol against an indicator indicates that it is an experiment by TrendSpider. While some indicators have a label - new next to them, indicating a recent addition by TrendSpider.
Customize the Indicator
You can navigate to the Indicator Manager and customize any of the active indicators in the right column for the values, data sources, position on the chart, colors, patterns, line thickness, etc.
There are two methods to customize the indicator:
Method 1: Navigate to the Indicator Manager
Navigate to the Indicator Manager and simply customize or modify the values you want.
Method 2: Navigate to the Indicator List on the Chart
Navigate to the indicators list from the top-left corner of the chart and click on the vertical ellipsis (⋮) adjoining the indicator you want to customize.
The same customization options will become available as the ones under Method 1 for you to modify the values.
Remove the Indicator
Remove the indicator(s) not important for your trading strategy. You can navigate to the Indicator Manager and Remove any of the active indicators
There are two methods to Remove any indicator:
Method 1: Navigate to the Indicator Manager
Navigate to the indicator manager and simply click on the [ X ] Cross icon against the indicator you want to remove.
Method 2: Navigate to the Indicator List on the Chart
Navigate to the indicators list from the top-left corner of the chart and click on the [ X ] cross button against the indicator you want to remove.
Request the New Indicator
If you don’t see the indicator that you need, you can request a new indicator from within the application and our development team will work to build it.
Step 1: Navigate to the Indicator Manager and click on the REQUEST NEW button.
Step 2: Fill out all the requested details in the Customer Feature Request Form and click on the Submit button at the bottom.
