TrendSpider allows you to create multiple independent workspaces within one account for analyzing multiple markets at the same time. Each workspace environment is unique and has its own custom settings. The only configurations that are shared across different workspaces include Alerts, Saved Strategies, Notes, Saved Scanners, Watch Lists, Chart Annotations, and Scripts. Each workspace can be opened as a separate tab within your browser.
Three types of workspaces can be created:
- Single Symbol Workspace
- Multi Symbol Workspace
- Dashboard
Also, there is also a fourth type of workspace called 'Mobile'. This workspace allows you to control what your mobile application looks and feels like.

Create a New Workspace
TrendSpider provides you with a Default Workspace Environment when you complete the sign-up process. You can anytime add a new workspace by following the steps outlined below:
Step 1: Click on your Grid icon at the top right corner of the interface.
Step 2: A list of options will appear and you can navigate to an existing workspace, manage your workspaces, or create a new workspace.
Step 3: You will now be prompted to select which type of workspace you would like to create. You have three choices - Single Symbol, Multi Symbol, or Dashboard.
In this example, we select to create a new Dashboard Workspace. Your new workspace will be added to the list and given a random name.
Rename, Delete, or Clone a Workspace
You can rename any of the listed workspaces by following the steps outlined below:
Step 1: Click on your Grid icon at the top right corner of the interface and select Manage workspaces.
Step 2: You will be redirected to a new webpage where you will be able to view all the workspaces. Click on the Vertical Ellipsis (⋮) for the workspace you want to rename and select the Rename, Delete, or Clone option from the dropdown menu.
- Rename - allows you to give your workspaces different names
- Delete - allows you to delete a workspace
- Clone - allows you to create a cloned version of an existing workspace
Switch Between Workspaces
You can easily switch between workspaces to access different chart environments you need by following the steps outlined below:
Step 1: Click on your Profile icon at the top right corner of the interface and select the Switch Workspace option.
Step 2: You will be given a list of workspaces to select from. Simply click on the workspace you would like to access.
Note*: Selecting a different workspace will automatically open a new tab in your browser.
Set Default Workspace
You can designate any of the listed workspaces as your default or favorite choice. Each time you will log in to the TrendSpider account, your default workspace will be automatically launched.
Step 1: Click on your Grid icon at the top right corner of the interface and select 'Manage Workspaces'.
Step 2: You will be redirected to a new webpage where you will be able to view all the workspaces. Click on the 💗 icon for the workspace you want to set as default or favorite.
You can anytime change your default or favorite workspace by simply clicking on the 💗 icon of another workspace you want to set as default.
Mobile Device Workspace
Run the same workspace on the web interface which is currently active in your TrendSpider mobile app. This option will appear right after your first login into your TrendSpider mobile app. Any changes made in the web application will be reflected in the mobile application, including drawings.
Step 1: Click on your Grid icon at the top right corner of the interface.
Step 2: Select 'Mobile Device'
Open Multi Symbol View
TrendSpider provides you with a unified view of multiple charts belonging to different tickers cordially stacked in a single interface. You can anytime open a multi-symbol view by following the steps outlined below:
Step 1: Click on your Grid icon at the top right corner of the interface and select the 'Multi Symbol Workspace'.
Step 2: You will be redirected to your Multi Symbol Workspace. You can create additional multi-symbol view workspaces.

Alternative Approach
Step 1: Select the window dropdown to the right of your ticker symbol and select Multi Symbol View.
Note*: TrendSpider only supports one browser session per workspace at a time and you are allowed up to 15 workspaces which can be opened as unique tabs in your browser* 🕑
